Networked Keypads?..A simple solution

 
An Industrial Process Plant approached us to provide a solution to the Operators access control needs.

The request....

> To secure access to 3 doors.
> For ease of use, Operators to use their Employee numbers as PIN numbers.
> System must have ease of use and be suitable for the working environment.
> Must be capable of future expansion.

We installed....

> 3 no. ACTsmart2 1090 PIN only controllers, used in a Master & Slave configuration, so new
6-digit PINs need only be programmed once for all doors.
> Doors fitted with "Door Release" buttons and Emergency Door Release units.
> Use of the Alpro Vortex 2400 Magnetic Locks, with a low power consumption and a holding force of 1500Kg.
> The 3 doors are over-ridden by the activation of the buildings Fire Alarm System.
